Joseph Drouhin Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau 2004 (France)
Price - $11.49 Size - 750 mL- Wines of the World Wine Tasting held on Saturday May 28, 2005 at the Powers Liquor Mart in Colorado Springs with Will Gillum.
Beaujolais-Villages Nouveau is meant for drinking right away and each Thanksgiving season the new ones come out. They are usually best through the winter holiday season, but this one is still tasting well. This has a red color with medium legs. Has tropical fruits and banana on the nose. Flavors of soft light fruits drop off to a slate taste. Has a medium to short finish. This wine from the gamay grape is a real quaffer and is easy to drink and would pair well with pizza and hamburgers. For more information see Joseph Drouhin's website. Grade: B
