This wine contains 1.9 grams of carbohydrates per glass. Wine has a sweet nose with no perceptible vanilla. This wine is smooth and dry with a decent finish. It doesn't taste or feel like merlot, it reminded me more of pinot noir, although with less complexity. Probably the process of lowering carbs reduced the body and some of the flavor of this one. Grade: C+
