Rosemount Estate Traminer/Riesling 2003 (Australia)

Price - $6.99 Size - 750 mL- Old World vs. New World Wine Tasting held on Monday May 16, 2005 at the Powers Liquor Mart in Colorado Springs with Will Gillum, comparing representative varietals from Old and New World Styles. I posted some thoughts I had before the tasting, and thoughts I had after the tasting.

This is a seldom seen blend of Gewürztraminer and Riesling grapes into one pleasant wine. It has a nice golden color with medium legs. Has light hints of honeysucckle on the nose. It is sweet and honeylike with a medium body, not sickly sweet, however. Good amount of acidity. The finish stays sweet and is medium length. For more information visit Rosemount Estate website. Grade: B
