Washington Hills Rainier Red 2002 (Washington)

Price - $10.49 Size - 750 mL- Wines of the World Wine Tasting held on Saturday May 14, 2005 at the Powers Liquor Mart in Colorado Springs with Elizabeth Smart of Mountain Wine Distributing.

This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot comes from the Columbia Valley in Washington. Deep red coloring with heavy legs and a mostly alcoholic nose. The wine is juicy but not especially sweet. This wine is also dry. The finish is medium length and turns bitter at the end. Would pair well with Barbeque, lamb, veal or stew. For more information visit Washington Hills website. Grade: C+
